Markdown files should probably be replaced with RST files

The python community prefers RST format files. This includes documentation software for python, which will get used by this project at some point. I have also created an issue for documentation software. I believe this is important because documentation and code should be as tightly intertwined as possible.

Here are some useful resources for this issue:

• The guide to markdown as written by its original creators
• The guide on how to use GitHub flavored markdown
• A massive documentation on RST

Documentation for RST is much lower in quality than Markdown, which is rough.
