Think the links should fade to dark grey not to light grey. I also wonder if links being in the bright green are suitable for accessibility - might be overthinking?

Also would it be possible for the big image to be a link to the article too? I take as granted i can basically smack anywhere near an article and get taken inside, so with the huge images I find it odd it isn't clickable.

Links now hover to dark grey and the big image is now linked to the post.
