Write a .bat file as an installer #66

If Socks is going to run the bot on her PC, probably everything will need to be installed first, so not only the repo but also Python, all dependencies, etc. It could be a good idea to write a bat file that installs everything.

If anything I could as setup some host. Be a VM.

My personal machine is a bit of a behemoth and a pet peeve of mine is fan noise, i tend to turn stuff off when not in use.

In terms of reliability are hosted VM would be the better in terms of up time etc.

But that will cost a monthly fee.

How much capability would a hosting machine require, I would certainly not be against plugging a raspberry Pi into the router and and leave running.

Might have the best ping, but i am on 300/300 fios.

I highly doubt this is needed since Socks already volunteered to run the bot on her PC (that she rarely switches off). All we're looking for is a file to install all relevant programs, repos, and dependencies on a PC that hasn't been set up for any kind of programming, at all 😄
