Hello everyone, as an active minecraft player, with this mod I often play with friends and subscribers in the minecraft world There is a small problem Namely, since to connect to the world you need to throw off your real IP address, there are a number of problems with this Not all people are good (There are people who can carry out DDoS attacks on his IP and Internet with the help of an IP player) Thus, leading to its lags or shutdown Which is very, very serious, since it is very difficult to get rid of such attacks. This makes dropping the IP server to friends in discord or skype (quite a scary thing) See when you play with someone, for example, whom you found on your minecraft stream or in a discord server You don't know what to expect from him (Or you can use the ip to find out the location of the player) Country and city Not everyone wants to speak their country and city)

I propose to do something like a proxy to change the IP, for example, from 1.545.324.33 to a random IP or some specific Thus, you can avoid DDoS attacks and theft of information about his city and country.

There is a second solution to this problem (Perhaps strange but very useful)

I don’t know how much this is possible There is such a program starting with Windows 10 Hbox with the help of it you can invite people to play games over the network Have an idea to try it using the LanServerProperties mod Add support for the xbox app Thus, you can invite friends whose You can just add to friends without giving anyone your ip

clicking open the world to the web would be a button Hbox by clicking on it, you could select friends and invite It would be very convenient since many people have Windows 10 right now and almost 90% of players have this application

I hope the idea is normal Since DDoS attacks are a very scary thing Especially if there is no way to change your IP Making it impossible to use the Internet

I would say that you don't have to worry about this if you are just playing with your close friends.

People who start a DDoS attack expect the attack to be profitable. For instance, if you are running a public game server and making money from it, your competitor may DDoS you to disturb your service or ask for ransom. Usually, this only happens when your business is well-known to some extent. There's no point for an attacker to target a home user or a small server. Personally, I haven't heard any home user get DDoSed.

This mod is intended to be used in a LAN environment, in which you and your friends sit together. More specifically, this mod allows you to open and customize the listening port of the game server. Exposing a server directly on the internet would require more security hardening, e.g. whitelist, registration system, banning certain items.

If you are really concerned about your privacy, the thing you should look for is called VPS. You can purchase a VPS (a headless computer, usually runs Linux), and run your game server on the VPS. You and your friends would only need to know the IP address of the VPS. In the case of a DDoS attack, no one gets affected, except for the VPS itself. If you find that a capable VPS is too expensive, you can set up a VPN server on your VPS and run your server locally, anyone who wants to play must use VPN to join your virtual network.
