If you take the lifter cart in the warehouse in library's right wing of first floor, put it on elevator, stand on top and to a side, then the elevator will push you into the wall, and using jump key you can get onto an upper floor. Perhaps this will even allow to get somewhere you are not supposed to be without doing something, like the safe (not checked).
