Using http://www.initializr.com/ makes me feel comfortable about my starting point.

Are there any notable efforts involved in getting a standard H5BP template to work with Bootjack?

It is not in the scope of Bootjack. Rather, it could be a good addon to Bootjack. You can start a project for porting it to Dart:) It must help a lot for Dart community.

BTW, personally, I prefer server-side templates: RSP
