Currently Weather Notification is designed to be used from the Notification
area. If you disable the notification (space issues in the notification area,
personal pref, etc.) then the app becomes much less useful. If then you add a
shortcut to the app on the home screen, then clicking this icon will fire up
the Settings window, NOT the pop-up information window that appears when
hitting the Notification line.
What feature do you want to add to this project?
Please add support for a desktop widget. In it's simplest form, it will take
the icon currently used in the Notification area (simply indicating
sun/cloudy/etc.) and clicking on it would pop-up the same information window as
when hitting the Notification line. This would render the app much more useful.
