It would be great if Delta would run natively on the Apple TV, rather than having to rely on Airplay.

The Apple TV only supports up to 500 kilobytes of storage per-app, and up to 50 megabytes of cache that can be deleted any time by tvOS when it feels like. That's why Minecraft for the Apple TV was discontinued.

It works fine for me on provenance. I have several GBs of ROMs too. I haven't had any issues. of course if you install/uninstall apps/games/videos I would imagine that becomes an issue, but it would be nice to have this or perhaps use iCloud to sync the data between devices and we could lazy load roms when they are deleted by the system.
