I get a blank white screen while attempting to play Classic NES: Super Mario Bros.

I can see the game just none of my controls work so I just have mario running around (demo-ing) the game...

It works fine on mine, you select with the START button btw.

Sounds like everyone is encountering varying degrees of bugginess with SMB. Mine doesn't even load in the first place.

It might just be a ROM issue.

I've redownloaded the rom three times now. Same white screen every time. If it is just a rom issue, it's weird that different people are having different issues with it.

Where did you download the ROM from? I think it would make more sense for it to be a ROM issue, because if it was a problem with the emulator everyone would have the same problem.

the coolrom version works fine for me, its just a bit glitchy on graphics... jumps up and down weirdly by one pixel no matter what. this is the only rom that does so for me.

So, I finally got past the issue, but only after many downloads and white screen glitches. Not sure exactly what caused it, how to replicate, or even why it eventually fixed itself; I imagine if you downloaded Classic NES - Super Mario Bros. enough times, you might encounter the issue.

Got mine for coolrom and have literally no problem with it. Works perfectly for me.

had no issues with this particular rom. downloaded over home wifi network.

Try downloading from a different location. I can't replicate the issue, so I'm marking this as fixed for now.

I downloaded from multiple locations. Sometimes the ROM works, sometimes it doesn't. Wish I knew why.
