(iOS 6 and iOS 7) Save-State Bug/Crash #2

Closed PyroFilmsFX closed 10 years ago

PyroFilmsFX commented 11 years ago

Upon clicking the (+) to add to the list of save states, the application will instantly crash. Attempted on multiple ROMs just to see if it has to do with a curupt ROM, but does not fix the issue. Also stated in your email to delete the Save State directory. Instead of the Save State folder recreated there is no folder. The skins seem to work fine, aside that I cannot get custom to work. I noticed the bundle identifier, I am guessing your going to allow certain developers only to create the skins.

iOS 6.0 was officially dropped as of the latest beta (According to the emails Riley sent)

I just replicated this on iOS7. Definitely an issue.

Like Pyro said, even though we all deleted the Save States folder via iTunes before updating to this beta, when you try to create a new save state, a new folder is created, but regardless, the app crashes.

rileytestut commented 11 years ago

Definitely something I'll look into

yourwifeandkids commented 11 years ago

Would you like a crash report?

Speaking of which, "select all" seems to be disabled when viewing crash reports in ios7. I haven't been able to figure out how to copy the whole report.

rileytestut commented 11 years ago

I don't think that's needed for this one. If it's really every time, I should be able to replicate it easily. But thanks!

yourwifeandkids commented 11 years ago

Makes sense. any ideas as to how to copy crash reports for the future, though?

jacal2011 commented 11 years ago

Yeah definitely get this issue as well, maybe it is only happening because we deleted the save state folder before installing? That seems like the most logical explanation for me

yourwifeandkids commented 11 years ago

I don't think that's why it happens, jacal. when you attempt to save state, the app creates a new Save States folder. A folder is just a folder, so it should still work, theoretically.

WebCouchDesigns commented 11 years ago

Jacal2011, I forgot to delete the save states folder before updating, and I just recreated this issue.

PyroFilmsFX commented 11 years ago

Oh, yeah definitely an issue then!

It's weird, it still saved the state though.

davidfsexton commented 11 years ago

Well it's still saving states when the app crashes so we aren't losing content. Sure it's a bug that needs to be fixed, but at least we have that nice little safety net.

celebrir commented 11 years ago

I lost my save states. It did work for a while but then I did something and the save states reseted :/ Testing is not enjoyable with that bug.

cmdluke commented 11 years ago

I am also having this bug. not really an issue since it basically saves the state on the crash, but annoying since I have to immediately open the app back up if I want to keep playing.
