I followed your instructions word for word, and after the intended crash, I went to settings and attempted to reactivate Dropbox, and it almost instantly crashed, and my second attempt to scroll down to Dropbox Sync the app froze up for about 30 seconds before crashing again. The third time (third times the charm) it worked as intended.
No clue if I tried too fast after the intended crash or what.
Ignoring for now, since it's very possible it was just an issue because of updating from a previous Dropbox Sync version. We'll see what happens when the next beta is released to everyone.
