Error loading "dbt_project.yml" even with correct path #57

Hi,

thanks for this extension. Unfortunately I can't get it to work. I always get the following error: Error loading "dbt_project.yml", Failed to open c:\git\my_dbt_project\dbt_project.yml The path is correct. I also checked the pathes for the profiles.yml, dbt Interpreter and read your open and closed issues without finding a solution. I even tried different versions of PyCharm and this extension but always get the same error, even with the latest version. As I am working on Windows 10 and 11, could this be a Windows issue?

I would appreciate any hint to solve this error to make your promising extension work. Thank you!

Hi, Thank you for raising the issue, I am going to add proper error handling during the project configuration initialization at next versions.

But for now probably, I wll able to help you if you share with me

  1. dbt version
  2. settings screenshot
  3. dbt_project.yml file(you need replace any sensitive information before the sharing)

dbt-core version: 1.7.10 (I also tried dbt-core 1.8.0b3)

What is plugin version?

Please try to add target-path: target into project config file

Hi

The plugin version is: 0.2.1

By adding "target-path: target" the loading error for dbt_project.yml disappeared. However, now the following error appears "Manifest reload failed for dev!" The file manifest.json lies within the target folder of the dbt project.

I am also running into this issue, no resolution after adding target-path: target.
