Hi,
This is the same issue that another use had, their solution was:
"This issue was resolved by updating Joy-Cons to the latest firmware and ensuring no background-programs that may overtake xinput behavior (like Steam) were running."

I am able to set up the virtual controller and open the ringcon driver. The left ringcon is detected and functions as normal, and the gyroscope also seems to work correctly. But no push/pull inputs from the ringcon itself are registered as inputs. My console gives the error message:
"Successfully initialized but no Ringcon detected Joy-Con (R)!"
This is identical to what happens if I hit start without the right joycon being slid into the ringcon. It seems the program isn't detecting my ringcon for some reason, although the green lights do appear when i slide the right joycon into the ringcon.
This is a brand new ringcon out of the box, so I'm not sure what the issue could be. I havent actually used this ringcon on the Switch to play Ring Fit Adventure yet. Could that have something to do with it? I'm really not sure what to do. I uninstalled/reinstalled the virtual controller msi, and I've tried older builts of the Ringcon Driver exe but the same issue happens on all of them.

Thanks for getting back to me. I'll borrow someone's Switch and get that firmware updated, and then I'm sure everything'll be fine.
Does updating them work?

In fact, the joycons have never been connected to a switch, only to my PC. Could their firmware be out of date? I'm really not sure what to do.
