As ffmpeg supports webm/vp8, adding support for this should be trivial.

It would, but that would mean updating the ffmpeg build, which is not an easy 
thing due to licensing in ffmpeg (and because it's really a pain to compile 
ffmpeg + all libs on Windows). Might do it someday when WebM becomes more 
popular~
