Main window unresponsive when downloading in progress #222

What steps will reproduce the problem?
 1. Start a bulk download. (Possibly wait a while.)
 2. Try to go back to main window

What is the expected output?

The main window should come up.

What do you see instead?

Only the top blue bar of the window comes up.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Don't know what's the version, but I downloaded the installer today.
OS: XP Pro.

could you give us some details of your hardware environment? Memory, cpu, mainly

plus possibly try reinstalling gmapcatcher

Asus Eee 1000HE. Atom processor, 1 Gb memory.
