Adding an iOS devices support would be a nice enhancement. I read that it is 
possible to make iphone/ipad apps using python code : http://www.saurik.com/id/5

Another possibility would be to make an export format for the apple devices : 
http://iphonenodata.com/site/offline-maps/, then the user can replace it's own 
device files and use the offline maps.

That would be a great help since carrying a notebook around is not the best 
solution.
