Transcription doesn't begin after uploading audio file. #6

Issue: After dragging and dropping file into the "Drag and Drop audio" box, no transcription begins.

Installation method: Docker compose example in repo, though I did change the exposed port to - "6272:3000".

Attempts to fix:

Deleted container and all files, then pulled fresh images.
Removed bind mount

The file appears in the pb_data directory, under:

\scriberr\pb_data\storage\pp2k4onq38xlk63\fu62huwj3lvxme6\blob_MYAkvrdpEs.wav

But the scriberr_files directory remains empty.

can you create 2 sub-folders under the directory you are mapping to SCRIBO_FILES ? if you are doing files:/scriberr then under files can you create audio and transcripts folders and then try again ? Let me know what happens

I think it is getting closer. I was able to upload a file, but the Transcript visual did not appear. The error I see is:

Ahh I see the problem. Looks like I didn't download the medium sized model into the image. can you try again with small, tiny or base and let me know what happens ?

Okay, once more with base. Still not seeing anything in the transcripts folder, but maybe that could be because the one with the medium image is stopping progression?

can you navigate to http://localhost:9243/admin/queues ? Use the port you mapped 9243 to. This should open the Job Queue dashboard where we will get access to job logs. Can you check on there and show me the logs or errors you get ?

When I navigate there I get the error:

are you accessing it on the correct port ? You should be able to access this as it's not part of the web app. It's exposed directly by the job queue library I used. I can help verify if you show me your docker-compose

Yes, I didn't change that port, but I did expose it. It is not available on localhost:9243 or MyIP:9243, same error.

When I inspect the page I get the message:

There is nothing here.

Can you also post the logs ? Also, what's the # threads and # cpus you have set in the app ?

The logs are very similar to that before. I can post the logs again, however, your idea seems to have worked! I foolishly set the threads and cpu to max (hoping to save time), but when I set the CPU down to 6 it works.

Ahh gotcha. Yeah another user faced the same thing. If the resources are too high then the process gets killed without much information. I'll work on adding some notifications or alerts to let the user know what's going on and if things are working or breaking. Appreciate you bringing this up ! If this fixed it can I close the issue ? Let me know if you face other problems
