Documentation publishing workflow is broken (was: Pin connection in the middle of a beam) #314

I need help on the modeling of pin connection in the beam. I want to release the moment at the blue point in the attached diagram. I check the documentation and cannot find the API to do it. They are all beam elements in the following diagram.

Mmm - @thisisapple , so this feature does actually currently exist, but you've highlighted that the documentation has not been kept up to date, and the publishing workflow for it has in fact broken.

To your specific question, there is a function to add an internal hinge, called add_internal_hinge(node_id) which you can use for exactly this.

However, I'll mark your issue here as a bug and see about getting that documentation fixed soon!
