Our current storage configuration could be better... There is currently 1 VMware Datastore named "VMwareNAS" which is a single LUN that is ~6.5TB total.
This should be split up into multiple LUNs of ~2TB each. This prevents LUN locking when multiple hosts access different VMs that happen to be located in the same LUN. It also reduces the risk a LUN corruption totally crippling the infrastructure.
Since the size of LUNs cannot be reduced...
This task will be made possible, if not significantly easier, after #2 since VMs can be temporarily migrated to the second SAN while fixing the current SAN's LUN layout.
