Recently Live Server completely stopped working #475

I had no issues after installing VS Code Version: 1.53.2 in Windows (10) 18363 using Chrome: 87.0.4280.141. Recently Live Server completely stopped working, and after performing some recommended workarounds and uninstalling and reinstalling VS Code with Live Server there are still issues with opening in Chrome. I'm at a complete loss as to why this has occurred and how to resolve the issue. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you.

This version is no longer maintained, nor is Live Server.

It might be best to install my version - where v5 doesn't depend on Live Server - then you can install a maintained version of a live server extension, something like five-server maybe??
