Problem after update #1108

Open fbhirata opened 3 months ago

I purchased Deckboard Pro and have been working with it for about 3 weeks. However, today the version of the client that I use on an older tablet was updated to version 3.1.0 and stopped working. Well, the app opens but the screen goes completely black.

I imagined that updating my server version (which was 2.1.0) to the available version 3.0.0 could solve the problem, but it didn't solve it either and the server version started to have a black screen as well. I decided to delete the boards created to import again and the situation got worse because the program stopped working, leaving a white screen with a load in the middle.

So both of the server and client apps have black screen. As for the client app, does it go immediately black or it still shows you the setup screen (page with IP address field and scan button)?

And as for the server app, do you mind share these files:

It's really very strange. After posting my question here, I decided to uninstall the server and reinstall the previous version (2.1.4). And the server worked, but the client still had a black screen. I uninstalled again and installed 3.0.0 and now it worked, but only with one button on each board I had created. I reimported the boards again and it worked. It's working again.

Anyway, if it helps anything, follow the files you mentioned.

Thank you very much for your feedback.

Hello. For me it worked by reinstalling the application (both the server and the client) and then reinstalling the boards I had created. I found the 3.0 more beautiful and with a slightly faster response. I believe it was worth updating.

I actually tried version 3.0 and was not satisfied with it I had problems with aligning my configured actions to grid. I had lots of buttons, so, I tried to import configuration (multiple 8x6 grids), unsuccessfully unfortunately. Everything was aligned wrong. All my previously configured items are placed in one straight line out of zoom area of main window. This is hard to explain :)

Bug: voice meter plugin does not work correctly, toggle strip parameter to be exact is broken. if you manually press mute button in voice meter application (mute on) and then press button in this application mute is off but you can't mute it again, it doesn't toggle through on and off state.

bugs: volume control. For me it doesn't work at all, I control sound through voice meter. In Deckboard there is no option to select sliding volume for voice meter actions or at least, I didn't found one.

Bug: application hanges after you delete all boards (panels) . Only after deletion of suggested files from user settings, Deckboard start to work normally again.

Bug: CPU sensor doesn't show temperature on my system.

This is a great little app and I would really appreciate some fixes :)

@moordrak, I had the same problem with the server going blank after deleting all boards (by accident) in early 3.0.x but since fixing that and upgrading it's been rock solid. And to avoid having to recreate my setup like I had to do last time, (pro-tip coming!) now I do a full backup any time I change anything.

The first releases with volume control and CPU monitoring didn't work on my Macs either, but I'm on 3.0.7 now and both work great. CPU temp and memory don't work, but I run Stats in the top-bar so having it in Deckboard is more eye candy than anything else.

Once again, thanks @rivafarabi - Deckboard is one of my favorite utilities.
