Fix errors reported by Dialyzer #106

Hey David 👋 I hope that everything is going well.

While I was updating some of our dependencies I found an issue reported by Dialyzer. So, here is my attempt to contribute back to your project and fix all the errors reported by Dialyzer.

I also took the opportunity to include Dialyzer as a development dependency and also did some improvements to your current Travis CI config.
