Can't use the "@" character in SIP username (AIM) #107

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Create an AOL ( Aim Call Out ) account.

   <http://call-out.aim.com/?promo=824554>

2. Just try to connect.

3. The parsing of the user name (localy) never expected the "@" character.
If I use SIPHON to my local asterisk server it works fine.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

This is an exert from the log.

Could you try these parameters:
Username: AOLScreenname or AIMScreenname
Password: As configured in the AIM Call Out Dashboard
Server: sip.aol.com
Authentication name: AOLScreenname@aol.com or AIMScreenname@aim.com
or
Authentication name: AOLScreenname or AIMScreenname
STUN Server/Domain: turn.oscar.aol.com

Tried with and without the "@aol.com" .or. "@aim.com". I never get a connected
status and when trying to send the dial string the app crashes.

I have no problems connecting to my home asterisk server but not to AOL's lame
attempt at vanilla VoIP. Probably not giving another venture other than SKYPE
any
resources to clean up their end.

This call should be rejected-closed.
