Notepad3 crashes when openning text file with ".LOG" at beginning #123

I've been using an older version of Notepad3 (2016) to edit a file with .LOG at the beginning so that it insert a timestamp whenever you open it. But I just downloaded the new Notepad3 version (aug 2017) and it crashes whenever I try to open that file. Need fix.

Confirmed symptoms on Notepad3 2.17.1011.583 x64 running on Windows 10. Notepad3 crashes immediately when opening a file whose contents begin with ".LOG", as documented here.

Confirmed on 2.17.1011.583 x64 on Windows 7 Professional.

humm... maybe something in the log where want execute ? can you maybe post the logfile upload on a filehoster as zip and link there in for analysing?
