Notepad3 - blue rectangle instead of toolbar when opening Notepad3 from C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Note - This issue happens in many versions - even in the latest 6.24.227.1 rc2 (as of 28 Feb 2024)

BACKGROUND

(1) In the Windows Start Menu, I created a shortcut to Notepad3: C:\Program Files\Notepad3\Notepad3.exe

in C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

so that Notepad3 starts automatically with Windows

(2) In Notepad3 settings, I selected the option to minimize Notepad3 to Windows Taskbar

(3) In the above shortcut to Notepad3, in the Properties > tab "Shortcut" > in the field "Run", I selected the value "Minimized"

ISSUE

When I open Notepad3 using the above shortcut, Notepad3 opens its window that is NOT minimized and instead of the top toolbar, it shows a blue rectangle:

MY SOLUTION

1) Opened the properties of the problematic shortcut 2) On the tab "Shortcut" > in the field "Run", selected the value "Normal window"

PURPOSE OF THIS ISSUE REPORT

To resolve a bug with toolbar when the Notepad3 shortcut has the value "Minimized" in the Properties > tab "Shortcut" > in the field "Run"
