This is the one feature from LauncherPro I'm finding it hard to live without. 
Each of my dock icons in LauncherPro have a gesture that lets me fire off a new 
call, SMS, or email respectively, right from any home screen. It's a killer 
feature. Please add!

Agreed, the swipe gesture on each individual dock item was fantastic in 
launcher pro

A neccessity in my book. The swipe gesture allows for a versatile and tidy 
homescreen. Also, a 'Direct dial' contact with a swipe gesture is much less 
likely to be called by accident than one with a standard widget. You might even 
be able improve on LauncherPro by enabling three or four swipe gestures onto 
each icon: up down, left, right - on a standard three-icon dock, that would 
allow the user to perform up to 15 different functions with a single finger 
action. I would never have to open my app drawer again!

Every other major launcher has this. LauncherPro, Go Launcher Ex (free), and 
the paid versions of Holo, Apex, and Nova.

Holo even has swipe up and down on the dock icons. This is a very lacking 
feature in ADW/ADW EX.

Love Adw launcher but swipe icons would be immensely appreciated, it would 
allow a lot more actions to be made.
