Swipe Down Action doesn't work after extended use #219

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Set swipe down action to perform action (my case show notifications)
2. Use the phone 'normally' in daily use.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It seems that randomly, but dailyafter prolonged use that the setaction for the
swipe down action stops work. the swipe up action continues to work fine.

What version of the product are you using? On what phone? What Android
version?
Adw 1.1.5 on the Samsung Intercept running Android 2.1

Just an update after doing some more testing with this issue. It appears that
it isn't the overall swipe down functionality that stops working after a while,
but speficially the show notifications action that I have binded to it that
stops working.

So after this issue occurs, if I bind the swipe down action to i.e. Hide status
bar; that works. Likewise if I change the swipe up action to show notifications
that does not work either. The only solution is to reboot my phone.

Also after this issue occurs, if I force quit out of adw launcher completely
and revert back to the stock launcher, swiping down from the top of the screen
still does not bring down the notifications scree. Again the only workaround is
to rebootthe phone.

Add one more update: One thing I can definitely reproduce consstently now is
that I lose "show notification" right after I plug my running phone in to be
charged.

On Optimus S, with 2.2.1, my notification bar disappears after a seemingly
random period of activity. Not sure if it's related to an event, like
unplugging.

Opening the adw settings seems to get it back.
