File sizes of noto fonts #251

I downloaded a bundle of noto fonts (CJK Japanese) and it's 90MB!!! Wondering 
how can I use it in an android app.

Not a defect. That bundle has 7 weights of the font available. You can cut back 
to a single weight to save space. There are also two versions of the Japanese 
fonts available. The ones named NotoSansCJKjp-weight are full CJK fonts that 
have coverage for Japanese, Chinese, and Korean but by default are set to 
support Japanese. The ones names NotoSansJP-weight are only meant to support 
Japanese. The full CJK font is around 16MB for each weight. The Japanese only 
one is around 4.5MB for each weight.
