Thanks for the feedback. I suppose I can just remove the line
You can download the script on Github here
in my blog post. Although, the link to the repo is directly above it. I think LifeHacker posted their article before I had made the update to make it a repo (not realizing you can't make pull requests to gists).
Which one is the most recent? I think it is the repo version so I would probably change the content of the gist so it doesn't have the code in it, but instead has the details of the repo. So then those that see the LifeHacker article will still see the Gist embedded in the article, but the Gist will say "script moved to its own repo at ..... blah blah blah"
Plus as you suggested, remove the "You can download the script link" or just change it to a link to the repo rather the the gist.
Your call :)
Thanks for you script, saved me loads of time. However because I used "place cursor here" quite a bit in TextExpander, I wanted that to convert across so added a simple find and replace to do so.
If the repo is the definitive version then it might be an idea to take the gist off your blog or change it to point people here. Because I originally discovered your script from a LifeHacker article that linked to the Gist and your blog and it wasn't super clear what was the most recent version :)
Thanks again
