Leaders Digest - can group members add or suggest articles? #4

Now I'm on the Leader's Digest group. It has been a fun trip around the site! I am having trouble seeing whether I can comment on the posts people write. I seem to be able to comment when someone joins the group, but I can only "favorite" the actual posts that I want to comment on. (Ok, so I think I figured this one out. I have to click on the specific forum topic first, for example "Leaders Digest 4/8/14," to join the thread and reply. Not completely intuitive to me, but I've learned it now.)

Also, I'd like to be able to share articles that I'm reading and think others might be interested in, too. Perhaps we would lose the "digest" aspect then, which may be sort of the point of a "digest." but if there were a place for people to submit suggestions, or if there were a call for a theme, like Ukraine, Brazil, the US economy, etc., then the curators of the Digest could choose and summarize and boil down what's being shared.

Currently, it seems like people are sharing articles and commenting on things via email, which is cool. But it is an indication that the site is perhaps more unwieldy at this point... do we want to encourage more people to use the upoor site for this sort of sharing and conversation? If so, is it possible to make it as easy as typing an email? Perhaps folks want to include people in wider or different circles than what is possible on the upoor site now. Hmm....

I just found the place where you can Post a New Topic Via Email. Very cool! I like it. It doesn't solve the problem of people wanting to share more widely than who is in the UPoor group they're a part of, but it does make for fairly easy sharing of topics.
