Get sample (or archive) election results for Orange County #4

Justin Beradino is supposed to send us a sample when that is available.

The only XML resource I’ve found on their website contains results for the May 19, 2020 City of Santa Ana Special Recall Election.

We assume the structure for the results for the Nov 2, 2020, general election will be significantly different.

Justin Bernadino sent an update on Oct 17:

  1. The direct page will be located at: https://www.livevoterturnout.com/Orange/LiveResults/en/Index_6.html

  1. We will also have it available on our website at ocvote.com by navigating to the results section.

  2. If you click on the tab titled, “Reports” you will see reports in other formats you can use, including one in xml format.

  3. The precincts reporting will work a little differently for this election because we are now a Vote Center County. Most likely, it will show all precincts reporting early in the evening because every precinct is available at every Vote Center. At the top right of the page, there is a label that says, “Vote by Mail Ballots: None” and “Vote Center Ballots: None”. The Vote Center Ballots will change to Completed when the Vote Centers are all in.

  4. As we are testing before the election, if you see any results populated, please be aware that those are test numbers only. No results are tabulated until election night. Those are simply numbers populated manually to test the reporting system.
