elinks has some features not available in links (at least 1.0): tabs, local cgi, mailcap, gopher, color interface. links is faster, better on non-Linux operating systems, better for tor browsing. On Linux is likely better too.
But elinks has also a few users. There is no need to limit yourself to one browser, when you can use both.
I'm trying to choose the best for me. For example, Links has a GUI mode and advanced Tor support (e.g. the ability to mimic the Tor Browser). Does Elinks have this? Is Elinks better than Links or vice versa?
