Direct local URL calls possible through the file:/// suffix, see https://wiki.videolan.org/MRL/ for the options forwarding.

Plugin should show up in a modal : http://getbootstrap.com/javascript/#modals

May be a problem with external subtitles in VLC plugin ...

Solved with webchimera. Video content served with nginx
