NullReferenceException when opening TAStudio #354

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open ROM
2. Open Tools -> TAStudio
3. Program crashes

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The TAStudio window should pop up, instead the program crashes.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
r8687 / Windows 8.1

Please provide any additional information below.
I know why the crash happens and I could probably fix it, I just wanted to make 
sure noone else is working on this right now before I get to it.
