When directly comparing a Logitech optical USB mouse against an original Commodore Amiga mouse I noticed, that the speed of the USB mouse is way too fast,
This makes playing some Arkanoid style games a frustrating experience.
It can also be hard to use Deluxe Paint precisely, setting single pixels is a bit difficult.
Reducing the mouse speed via Workbench Settings is not possible when booting from a game floppy disc.
I did some measurements, the speed factor between the Commodore mouse and the USB Logitech mouse is about 2.5
Maybe it's a good idea to divide the speed of USB mice by 2 with an OSD option?
Of course, in general, the speed of modern mice is a good thing, the original Amiga mouse is very slow (and heavy :-) ). There are only some situations, where a fast mouse is a problem, because the old software was not designed with a modern mouse in mind .
And, maybe, such an option could preserve the original Amiga feeling (heavy right arm after an Amiga session ;-) ).
