Add life cycle emissions #707

Open SabineHaas opened 3 years ago

Currently emissions in MVS are defined by an emission_factor and the flow of the asset. Life cycle emissions will probably be defined by an emission_factor and the installed capacity. These emissions should also be taken into consideration in the emission constraint.

Can you post how emissions per capacity would be added to the oemof transformer?

The issue we have to discuss is how we want to account for emissions in the future. For flows, we can imply look at the current year and say that we limit the annual emissions. If we add emissions to capacities however, we have emissions over the lifetime of the installed asset - and would need to do accounting. How do we do this?

Linear (comp. replacement costs): annual specific emissions of an asset = total specific emissions of an asset / lifetime Annuity method (implies that emissions now are more important that emissions in the future): annual specific emissions of an asset = total specific emissions of an asset * CRF
