Request: Add section for the R-Ladies abstract review system (tweetthread :) )

Subject of the issue

We're developing the abstract review system to help R-Ladies submit to conferences! We'd love to have this info permanently available on the web site.

Explain why

This will further development of individual R-Ladies and help with representation of women at scientific conferences.

Maybe make this into a section/subsection of the website about conferences, with a map+calendar of upcoming conferences, their deadlines. If an R-Lady is in the organization committee, ask her if she can be an information contact (or someone who is not an R-Lady but an ally) for the case someone wants to ask a question directly to someone vs. the contact address?

I wonder what the name of this section/subsection could be. "Take over the world" could be one choice :joy:

I love those ideas @maelle!

This discussion is making me think that I should figure out how to do a Google Form for abstract review submissions, not just reviewer signups. I'll try to do that this week and will update the first post with info. Stay tuned. :eyes:

This may be helpful for uploading files via Google Forms 📂 🎉

Thank you @LucyMcGowan!

@chucheria I think the abstract submission form is ready to go! So now we've got two forms:

Want to volunteer to review abstracts? tinyurl.com/rladiesrevs Want to submit an abstract for review? tinyurl.com/rladiesabstracts

@jenniferthompson awesome! Do you want me to add them to the current website while we develop this one?

jenniferthompson commented 6 years ago

@chucheria If it doesn't take long, sure! If it would be a pain to add a new section at the same time the new site is in development, I think it's fine to wait. Either way!
