Redesign switch datatypes to allow multicharacter switch values #22

Currently the switch field type only allows 1 character to switch on.  
This prevents fields like servicefeaturecode to report a string value
properly because it was 3 full characters that define a specific string value.
This is an enhancement request to redesign the switch datatype to allow
multi-character switches and thus allow fields like servicefeaturecode to
report strings correctly.
