I don't think this is a project task since there are numerous distributions. I
can
ofcourse spent a few weeks at learning these distributions and their package
systems.
An alternative would be spending my time actually coding new features or fixing
bugs.
Which do you think I opt for ;)? You should file a request at your distribution
to
package rubyripper. When there is enough demand, it will be included, as simple
as that.
By the way, you do not need to "compile" rubyripper, since it's an interpreted
language. You can just get latest git and run it. See also the instruction at
the
Source tab.
