Changes to Track Titles Not Kept in Cuesheet #463

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
1) Please describe the steps to reproduce the situation:
a. Ensure that "Create Cue Sheet" is enabled.
b. Scan a disc.
c. In disc info, change the capitalization of a word - changing "The" to "the"
is fairly common for me.
d. Rip the disc.
e. Open the cue sheet in an editor. The change to the track title is lost.

2) What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect the track titles in the cuesheet to be EXACTLY as I enter them in the
rubyripper UI.

3) What version of rubyripper are you using? On what operating system? The
gtk2 of commandline interface?
Rubyripper 0.6.0, Gentoo, GTK interface.

4) Is this not already fixed with the latest & greatest code? See for
instructions the Source tab above.
As far as I know, no.

5) Does the problem happen with all discs? If not, please attach
the output of cdparanoia -Q with a disc that gives trouble.
Every disc I've ripped in my collection has incorrect titles.

6) Please explain why this change is important for you. Also, how many
users would benefit from this change?
It's an additional, unnecessary, and difficult step in the organization
process. It is also very un-intuitive.

Please provide any additional information below. The more usefull
information provided, the sooner the issue will be fixed.

Also, I have "Rip to Single File" enabled. Looking at the code this might have
something to do with it, but it still should not work this way.

I've rolled a patch to solve this issue. Works against master cf73f01f.

I've just retested this issue with current master and it worked like a charm.
Tested this both in track mode and single-file-rip mode.

If any problems remain with current git, please report a new issue.
