Stuck at "Scaning drive /dev/cdrom for an audio disc"

1) Please describe the steps to reproduce the situation:
1. Insert CD
2. Run rubyripper (system menu or $ rrip_gui)
3. See the stuck (attached screenshot)

2) What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expected to see usual rubyripper interface with all its

4) Is this not already fixed with the latest & greatest code? See for
instructions the Source tab above.
Nope, git version doesn't work too

5) Does the problem happen with all discs? If not, please attach
the output of cdparanoia -Q with a disc that gives trouble.
All CDs.

Please provide any additional information below. The more usefull
information provided, the sooner the issue will be fixed.

Worked perfectly on this PC with Gentoo ~x86.

Could it be you are missing a symlink for /dev/cdrom ? I don't think it's a 64 
bit issue since I run 64 bit myself.

$ ls -l /dev/cdrom
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 3 марта 25 17:09 /dev/cdrom -> sr0

I tried to switch cdrom path to /dev/sr0 manually in config file - no effect 
(path changed, rubyripper haven't worked).

I use Ubuntu and I see the symlink »cdrom1« in the /dev folder and it works.

Can you please reproduce with latest git, while running from a terminal with 
the debug option on?

Now it does ripping, but there are no audio files in final folder, just 
log&cue. Tried with cli and gtk versions.

Also, I copied a track while it was in temp_cdrom folder and tried to encode it 
with flac parameters used by rubyripper.

Can you please retry with latest git? I think I've fixed several scenario's 
that showed the same behaviour.

Ripping works now (both tracks + .cue and image + .cue), but buttons "Open log 
file" and "Open rip directory" (or something like that) don't. Should I report 
it as a separate issue?
