Javadoc links to Java API aren't working #641

I intentionally point to the Java 8 SDK, but the links aren't there using OpenJDK 11 (Environment 18.9) on MacOS (at least), so maybe I need to point to the correct Java version ... or maybe the latest ??? At the time of writing Java 21 is latest LTS (2023-09-19).
