Project Update 03/22/19

Over spring break, we started/continued working on the goals we had set in our previous meeting for the midterm. We still feel like this is an adequate and manageable amount of work to get done by Monday next week. The following lays out what we are still doing/have completed and the issues that arose throughout our work on the project this past week:

Midterm Goals Progress:

• about halfway complete transcribing our total number of memes; to be expected to be complete by Sunday
• tagging memes
• site map has been drawn out by Rebekah and agreed upon by the group; functional and aesthetically pleasing layout

Midterm Issues:

• merging issues that impeded our ability to push material onto GitHub
• deciding on xml markup decisions to maintain project continuity
• for the webpage, figuring out how to create the dropdown menu

It sounds like our groups are at pretty similar points, at least at the time that you wrote this. We also were finishing up markup and working on getting out site put together. It definitely seems like you're on track for the midterm which is great. We also ran into issues like the merge conflict it seems like you're experiencing, hopefully this got resolved rather easily.

It sounds like you have a good plan! I was just wondering how are you going to decide on certain xml markup decisions to waiting continuity as this is something that we are also working on in our project.
