Well, looks like the latest firmware update has ended our better solution for now. I will look into it, but if they have obfuscated communication, it will be difficult.
I did see that the developer of the Homebridge Pentair IntelliCenter Plugin was able to update in dustindclark/homebridge-pentair-intellicenter#5. Not sure if this will help, but it does seem doable.
I'm not updating firmware right now as it seems that you can't revert to an earlier firmware release after upgrading.
Thanks for the tip. Was able to get it working again. Still have some testing to do, but was a pretty simple change so far.
