1 bug per report please, there is no way to track multiple bugs in a single
report.

Firstly.
Music issue, i cannot reproduce this with audio synching enabled, is there any
stuttering that goes with it as well?

2. The issue you believe to be sorting is actually Z fighting, depending on your
hardware you can increase the Precision level.

3. The control issue is a bug in purupuru, switch to the xinput plugin. you
can use
x360ce @ http://www.jocys.com/DataBase/Downloads.aspx?Id=127 to enable a non
supported control to be compatible with the xinput plugin.

1. Music on each levels play and on second loop completely stop and not play
until
finish level.

2. Bug with sorting always here, before posting, i try all ways for fixing this
problem.

3. Control issue is not a plugin or xinput, it happen only in this game,
character
stuck in the ground and he slowly walk to random sides.

4. Sorry, this is my first bug reports in google code :P

So, music and control problems are no more. Then, only the graphic problem
remains
from this issue, right?

Original comment by KrossX3 on 24 May 2010 at 3:39

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Yeah, only the graphic problem left.

Hi, I too am having the same Sonic Adventure 1 "control" issue as well. I am
running NullDC 1.04. My O.S. is Windows 7 64bit Ultimate.

The problem only starting occurring with this build of NullDC. I used the
previous version and no control issue to speak of.

While playing Sonic Adventure 1 and even in the cut scenes sonic seems to
"stall" or improperly move. Its like he's hopping on one leg and cant unfreeze
himself. Foot step sound effect goes crazy and character model looks like he
has to pee.

Like I said the previous build doesn't give me this issue but the graphics are
much crisper on the 1.04 build which is why I use it.

Is there a way to fix this or has it been looked into? Thanks and hope to hear
from someone soon.

If I remember correctly, it works well with the dynarec disabled. Making it a
dynarec problem.

Original comment by KrossX3 on 21 Dec 2010 at 6:22

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Ok, tried disabling dynarec and yes the controller did work smoothly however
game play was drastically slowed down and choppy, sound was all muffed up as
well.

Here's the problem as I see it.

When I used NullDC version 1.03 it didn't have any xinput options. I had to use
"xpadder" to map my keyboard to my usb Xbox 360 controller. Sonic Adventure 1
did work with the controller mapped under xpadder. The plugin I was using for
1.03 was "nullDC controller [winook] (Aug 20 2008) v 1.0.0
(drkMapleDevices_Win32.dll:0)". I just got done testing Sonic Adventure 1 with
Xpadder and nullDC 1.03 and had no problems. (I want to use 1.04 due to better
graphic capabilities).

So I tried using the new 2010 nullDC winhook controller pluggin mapping it with
xpadder and it still does the same thing as all the xinput plugins. I even
tried to use the old winhook plugin with 1.04 even renamed the .dll (because
1.04 wouldn't recognize it as its 1.03 name) hoping I could trick 1.04 into
using it but no good.

Somewhere in between the development of 1.03 and 1.04 (possible could even be
the new .dll's, I'm not a programmer just an IT tech making an educated guess)
something got screwed up with the controller plugins.

I cant even use a keyboard with Sonic Adventure 1. The character still does
that hoping on one foot thing with every plugin. I downloaded x360ce but I own
a 360 controller. X360ce did override the xbox 360 settings into x360ce in
input devices using the xinput plugins but still no luck.

My PC is amazing and more then adequate to run NullDC.I'm hoping this issue
will be looked into and possibly resolved. I am willing to provide more
information if needed and am hoping for a speedy response. Thanks a bunch.

It's just a dynarec problem.

Yup this is the same problem im having :( Sonic hops on one foot like the stick
is stuck in one direction... Even tried xpadder without using xinput and same
thing...

Since it's a dynarec problem, it doesn't matter if you're playing with
drkMaple, Xmaple, joy2key, xpadder... or even with a chair. Although the latter
should probablly add other difficulties.

lol ok so does this affect other games to them? Cause a few other games it
seems like my controllers analog stick almost acts like it gets stuck?

Just to clarify what do you mean be "the latter should probably add other
difficulties"?

Are you saying that even the new build (assuming there will be another build
after 1.04) will still have control issue's? I'm not trying to be a pain, I
enjoy this software and know this is one of the only dreamcast emu's that's
still alive and has constant recent development so no disrespect to the
developers. I'm hoping that if there is a new build in the works this issue
will be resolved.

Not trying to be a pain, just curious is all, hope to hear from someone soon
and thank you.
