Windows 95 - Installer can't find xpistub.dll #43

As the title suggests the installation stalls because it can't find xpistub.dll in the windows TEMP folder.

Same problem here. Seems it's an old problem carried over from Mozilla. I found a thread on Bugzilla from 2002 dealing with exactly the same problem. Looks like they didn't figure out the issue either...

Same here, Windows 95 on 486

For what it's worth, it seemed like I only had this problem when I installed Windows 95 on a FAT16 partition. When it was on a FAT32 partition it was fine. I can't be 100% sure that was the source of the problem, but it was the only major difference I could see between working and not working.

Dumb suggestion but this helped me before: clear your temporary folders and delete the downloaded installer. Then, download another copy of the installer and run the new copy. It HAS to be a new installer!

Just update Windows 95, for example by the patch 'Year 2000 Update (OEM) (ISO)' and the retrozilla installer will work perfectly
