We should introduce some sort of "guideline" or "policy" for keybindings and adapt the existing ones.
This could look like:
just pressing a single letter performs some simple and often needed action, which also doesn't have permanent effects
Ctrl modifier is for more serious actions, so it sort of acts as a "barrier"
Shift is for inverting or performing some equivalent action in another way (e.g. if "Flip horizontally" would be Ctrl + F, then "Flip vertically" would be Ctrl + Shift + F)
Alt is for more slight modifications to existing actions (e.g. turning on "Snap to grid" when moving something)
