Workaround for now is to use: http://www.centrafuse.com/us/centrafuse-localizer

We may need to use the windows location API at some point: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/dd464636(v=vs.85).aspx

Hi Heather, are you trying the evaluation version? Feedback from users I have spoken to the evaluation version is not good. Buy the full version for $12. If there are still issues may need to use the Levono Broadcom GNSS Geolocation Driver for Windows http://support.lenovo.com/en_AU/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS033066

Here is the link to gis.stackexchange where someone got it working, and one of our customers used the same steps and got it going http://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/78857/how-to-make-work-tablet-integrated-gnss-gps-on-windows-8-with-qgis

Yeah, I have the trial version. But it put one of my tablets into an infinite BSOD loop. So, even though I did buy a couple licenses, I am hesitant to install them yet, because I don’t have time to rebuild my tablet from a factory reset .again.. And I am downright afraid to put it on my user’s tablet. They wouldn’t respond well to destruction. They would give me a Look. But if I have a bit of quiet time later, I’ll try it.

Well, luckily the mobile Projects here are mostly still in planning and development. I'm hoping that the gods will fix the Interface Problem before we get around to any Kind of big deployment. And maybe the licensed Version of Centrafuse will turn out to be rock solid. A Girl can hope.
