I cannot use Seashore currently b/c after the update, every time I try to add text, it leaves a trail as I move it that does not go away. Pls fix asap as I use this app for work!

Sorry about this - I will look into it. I need some help though - are you using the 'add as new layer' and then moving the layer around ? (If not, you should be - that is a much easier way to position the text).

Thank you! Yes, I’m using new layers.

@unawalk based on the screen shot, it doesn't appear you are using the 'add as layer' - it is not checked? If you are checking this, is the drag when you move the layer around, or are you using the 'move' command.

I just took that screenshot to show how the text drags. It does it whether it's in a new layer or not. The drag is when I'm using the "move" command. But even if I exit out of the text without saving it, the text stays. Una Walkenhorst www.unawalkenhorst.com www.patreon.com/unawalkenhorst

fixed in 2.5.6 - the previous preview rect was not being tracked correctly causing artifacts on the screen during move. The image file data itself was correct.

As an FYI, I am pretty sure you can use the current "broken" version by selecting 'add as layer' and then add. Then use the move layer tool to position the tex.
