fix version comparison problems like,

"12.1-12.5" >= "12.5"
"102" >= "72"

Hi, thanks for this one. Have you read the discussion on #46 ? It's been a while since I looked at it and I haven't fully reacquainted myself with it now - but ranged versions is one thing I noticed back there that would need handling.
